Bring your pony with you on holiday at Farmer Giles Farmstead!

Farmer Giles loves his horses and ponies. Anyone visiting Farmer Giles Farmstead will meet beautiful horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes. We have mares and foals as well as small ponies for leading-rein pony rides around the farm and also the family's own horses and ponies.

So, it occurred to us....whay not allow visitors to Magna Chalets to bring their own horses and ponies with them for their holidays? So, if you would like to, and assuming you have a well-behaved horse or pony who would enjoy the experience....why not!

We have 11 stables, many post and rail paddocks and a manege with jumps that can be hired on an hourly basis. In addition to this, we are located in some of the most beautiful off-road hacking country in Britain. We have downland, woods and foretry commission as well as bridle paths all around usand would be more than happy to help you plan the route for a happy hack.

There are very few rules...Courtesy to other people and their animals at all times, all horses/ponies must be wormed before they arrive and we ask that you have adequate insurance for both yourselves and your animals and for thirdparty.

Now is the time for the animal births at Farmer Giles. So, the month of May will be dedicated to all the rare breeds on the farm and their young. Come and see the rare lambs, goats, ponies, cattle and many more.

Every year the local farmers give us their orphan lambs for us to train to bottle feed. This means that all visitors to Farmer Giles get the chance to bottle feed lambs as well! and........we have this year's lambs in and ready to be fed, stroked and admired!
