Farmer Giles Farmstead

Everyone staying at Magna Chalets has a passport to the Farmer Giles Farmstead for the duration of their stay. There is much to do here that will keep children occupied and happy for hours and will, we hope, make your stay with us enjoyable. Visitors will be welcome to help (if they want to!) with feeding and care of the animals as well as making use of all the facilities Farmer Giles has to offer.

Farmer Giles offers children the chance to have fun and learn about farming. There are donkeys to groom, pony rides on Socks and Bill as well as "the best tractor rides in Wiltshire" as described by the editor of a local newspaper. There are orphan lambs to bottle feed, rabbits to cuddle and over 200 animals of all sorts and sizes to meet. 

Farmer Giles also has vast indoor as well as outdoor play areas - families often spend a whole day with us at the farm.

Well behaved dogs are positively welcomed, but must be kept on a lead at all times and MUST be cleaned up after (Please!)

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES 

Now is the time for the animal births at Farmer Giles. So, the month of May will be dedicated to all the rare breeds on the farm and their young. Come and see the rare lambs, goats, ponies, cattle and many more.

we've already received 7 orphan lambs from local farmers and there may be more to follow. These little lambs are already taking milk from the bottle with great enthusiasm. Children will be able to help with this feeding from this weekend (6th and 7th March).
